2018 Winners Announced

Hundreds came together to celebrate the best businesses in the region as the Fenland Enterprise Business Awards returned for its tenth year.

A huge congratulations to the 2018 winners and well done to the finalists who entered this year’s Fenland Enterprise Business Awards.

The best in the business were out in force on Friday October 5 to celebrate Fenland’s thriving businesses and inspirational leaders. Guests came together at the March Braza Club for an evening of entertainment, hosted by BBC Look East journalist Jozef Hall, where the cream of the crop in Fenland business were crowned.

The big prize of Business of the Year was won by Agrimech. This year’s Judges’ Award, awarded to the business that the Judges feel shows great potential for 2019, was won by Cambridgeshire Canine Creche.

Guests were entertained by ‘old fashioned crooner with a twist’ Mickey Fordola, who has performed for HRM The Queen, Hong Kong Football Club and Cath Kidston.

Before the awards were handed out, the audience caught up with Chatteris fundraisers Dan Handley and Dave Brooks live from Japan. The pair had arrived just hours before – having travelled thousands of miles from the Fens to Japan in a 16-year-old Toyota Yaris to raise money for Children In Need.

Inspired by the duo’s plight, £742 was raised for the charity on behalf of Dan & Dave: Chatteris to Tokyo.  Find out more about the donated prizes HERE
