2017 Fenland Enterprise Business Awards

The 2017 Fenland Enterprise Business Awards launched at the end of March and are here to celebrate the district’s leading companies and entrepreneurs. We are looking to build further on the massive success of the event which has been running since 2009.

This year, we have 12 awards up for grabs, 10 of which are open for entries. They will identify Fenland’s best small and medium businesses, and both star employees and employers.

The Apprentice Award – set up in memory of teenager Craig Bird who was killed in a car crash in 2010 – also returns. Craig, 18, of March, was an apprentice at the Fenland Engineering Skills Centre, at Metalcraft in Chatteris.

A ‘winner of winners’ will be chosen from the 10 category winners for the grand title of Business of the Year – this is chosen by the judges and cannot be entered directly. A Judges’ Award will also be presented to a business or individual who did not win a category, but the judges feel deserves special recognition.

The awards are being run in association with sponsors who will be highlighted over the coming months, when we will also focus more on each of the categories and look back at previous years’ winners.

Businesses and individuals shortlisted in the categories will be invited to the awards dinner, which will take place on Friday the 22nd September, at the Braza Club, in March.

This year business award finalists can also benefit from the Chambers’ centenary membership offer saving £100 when they become a member.  To find out more please click here.
